Depending on the production method, the ceiling tile is divided into 3 types:

1. Stamped

3. Injection

A huge range of ornaments, colors and reliefs allows it to use it as a decorative interior decoration in any room. The thickness of the finished product has 9-14 mm. Tile is packaged in blocks of 8 sheets of 500 × 500 mm, which greatly simplifies both installation and calculation of building materials. One packaging is enough for pasting 2 sq. M ceiling.

Also panels and tiles for the ceiling can be:

• non-aluminated;
• laminated.

The ceiling laminated tile has a thin protective film (color, white). At the same time, the surface of polyurethane can be volumetric, mimic a plaster relief or wood thread. Such panels are resistant to dust and soot, much better tolerate increased air humidity.

Ceiling non-aluminized products have a white grain or smooth surface. After their sticking, specialists recommend painting the tile acrylic of the desired shade.

Use ceiling tiles from polystyrene foam

Such ceilings can be used in different rooms, however, it is better to give preference to the kitchen with a protective laminated film. The ceiling tile is installed on almost any surface: chipboard and gypsum plates, concrete, plaster, asbestos cement, brickwork, etc.

Independent installation of adhesive ceilings

To install ceiling panels from extruded polystyrene foaming, you can apply:

• Special mastic for adhesive ceilings;
• "liquid Nails";
• PVA;
• Special glue ("Master", "Titan", "Gigant", "DecoFit-P", etc.).

Tools that will be needed:

• Sponge to remove glue residues;
• knife for fitting tiles;
• Brush for glue.

Before starting work, the basic ceiling should be prepared:

• holes and cracks to close with putty;
• Clear whitewash;
• eliminate adhesive paint and wallpaper;
• Clear the raised brick laying places.

Thus, the workforce must be smooth, durable, skimmed, clean and dry. If there is a gypsum plaster or stove in the room, then before installation they must be stuck. Those building materials that tend to wet, you need to progress before the salary.

Progress:

1. Installation of polystyrene products must be started from the center of the room. For this, the diagonals and pattern of masonry are determined, put markup.

2. Next, the first tile is covered with a solid thin layer of glue and sticks exactly in the room center.

3. The following tiles are installed along straight lines with parallel rows made from the wall to the wall.

4. The joints of the walls with the ceiling can be reedded by eaves (rail rack, shaped profiles, etc.).

Caring for adhesive ceilings:

• Do not place the tile next to the sources of open fire;
• To make the processing of laminated tiles, you can use a soap warm solution;
• Solvents should not be used to clean the polyurethane products;
• To eliminate fat raid, use the means based on alcohol;
• With contamination, the tile must be wiped with a wet cloth;
• when washing, it is not worth pouring the strips with water;
• If there are small specks, they can be removed by the usual eraser.

Recommendations:

1. Since 2 years later, your ceiling will lose a primordial look, you can update it with water-level paint.
