The tile is the perfect solution for the bathroom and kitchen. It is easy to wash, and when contacting with water, it does not deteriorate. The only "minus" is the cold surface of the outdoor coating. This problem can solve the warm floor under the tile, about the device of which will be discussed in this article.

Advantages of using film floor

There are two main heating options for the floor:

  • water heating systems;
  • electric warm floor.

One of the varieties of the latter is a film infrared heating, which represents a thin heating film with a width of 0.5-1 m. Length adjustment is carried out by cutting the bands of the required size.

To the advantages of using film system, the warm floor includes:

  • low cost and fast payback;
  • ease of installation and dismantling;
  • the possibility of laying without a cement screed device;
  • installation under various light flooring (linoleum, laminate, carpet);
  • health safety;
  • practicality;
  • reliable work.

Water heating with film floor occurs evenly and instantly. The air in the room is not dried, there is no convection streams, and oxygen does not burn. Experts even note the presence of the therapeutic effects of the therapeutic effect on the human body.

Due to the presence of thermostat, it is possible to adjust the temperature regime in any heated area or room. The compound of infrared heating elements is carried out in parallel. Therefore, it is not scary if one or two sections arise. The remaining sections will work in normal mode.

Fastening film panels can be made not only under the finish flooring. Its can be:

  • fix under the carpet;
  • place on the wall near the sofa;
  • locate in other places in need of heating.

As for laying a film warm floor under the tile, on the one hand, it is a more laborious process. But on the other, such a floor is most economical. When heated, the tile is characterized by the maximum possible heat conservation time than the finish coatings of the tree.

Principle of operation of the heating system

The main element of the film warm floor is a thin film made of polyester. In it with strips (or in a solid way), carbon paste is searched. It is called carbonic.

The thermostat is also an integral element of this electrical heating system. The temperature sensor that is located on the back of the film drives the thermostat and withstands the desired temperature in the room.

Warm floor can be equipped with a thermostat operating in automatic mode. With it, it is turned on (or shutting down) the entire system at a certain time. It is by using this type of thermostat that the rational use of energy resources is achieved.

Film elements are also:

  • substrate reflecting thermal energy;
  • gasket between flooring and film;
  • clamps.

The principle of the film floor is as follows. The supply of electrical energy is carried out on the copper tires, which are located in the extreme part of the film. The tires themselves are connected to each other with carbon elements.

When heated these elements, infrared long-range spectrum rays are developed, which are the most favorable and comfortable option for a person. The presence of hermetic lamination using polyester protects heating elements from breakdown and other external negative factors.

Laying the film floor under the tile do it yourself

At the initial stage preparatory work is carried out. The surface is cleaned of garbage and aligns. The thickness of the warm floor can reach up to 1.5 cm. An exemplary sequential layer of stacked materials is as follows:

  • heat-reflective substrate - 2-3 mm;
  • infrared film - 0.4-0.5 mm;
  • paint mesh - up to 2 mm;
  • layer of concrete solution (or tile glue).

Immediately need to decide with:

  • location of the thermostat;
  • effective film distribution under tile.

Installation of the warm floor begins with the laying of the heat transfer substrate. The best option will be the use of bands, the size of which is 0.6 m. In the event of a wide material, it should be trimmed.

Infrared film is stacked over the substrate. There are such requirements when performing this work:

  • it is impossible to place stationary furniture on the film (it can lead to system brave);
  • the film should cover up to 70% of the area in the room;
  • the presence of retreat from walls at 10-12 cm;
  • the film is not mounted.

It is more expedient to distribute the film at the maximum room length. Placed heating material is cut. Slicing pieces of film is recommended in places where there is no graphite layer. If you still need to cut it on a graphite layer, then this place is subsequently insulated with a scotch or tape. To the substrate the film is fastened with the help of a scotch.

Next you need to engage in the connection of the film floor. Special attention is paid to the correct installation of the thermostator and the temperature sensor. Immediately it is worth a reservation that one thermostat will be able to "maintain a room of 12-15 m². It is installed next to the subordinate wiring.

The fastening of the cable to the film is performed using copper clamps. The degree of reliability of the compounds is checked using halves of clamps that must come into contact with each other. Bitumen tape and silicone sealant are used to insulate the clamps.

While the sealant will dry, the thermostat is mounted. When using an overhead, the cable is carried out outside the wall and is placed in a plastic box. If the thermostat will be built-in, then the hole in it is hosted and the cable shoes are made.

The fastening of the thermal sensor is made under the film. For this, the groove is made at the base, and the sensor itself is placed in a corrugated tube. The sensor wire is stacked so that it is located right under the tile.

The thermostat is securely attached to the wall and connects to the electrical cable. Foil scotch is glued with a foil film. To ground the floor, one of its ends joins the wire.

Using the test switching on the heating system, its performance is checked. All sections must be warm up for 5-8 minutes. Using the tester, the sections of sections and film connections are checked.

Next, the laying of the warm floor is performed in the following sequence:

  • holes are made;
  • dowels are inserted into them;
  • the painting mesh is attached by selflessness;
  • it creates a non-fat and uniform primary concrete screed;
  • there is a complete drying of the screed;
  • the last check of the functioning of the warm floor is performed;
  • a fixing screed is applied;
  • after its drying, a tile is placed.

Screwing the screws when attaching a painting mesh should be carried out very carefully. They can damage the surface of the film or contacts, which will cause the rupture of the electrical circuit. After final fixation of the grid, it is necessary to test the warm floor.

When laying a film, it is prohibited:

  • carry out work at high humidity and air temperature below 0ºС;
  • use nails as fasteners;
  • to connect a film without grounding;
  • bending it at an angle of 90º on a stretch of up to 5 cm;
  • install the film in close proximity to other heating devices.

In order to avoid mechanical damage to the film, the installation works are recommended in soft shoes. You can use infrared warm floors by approximately a month later, when a concrete base is completely dry under tiled.
