Many owners of country sites face the problem of excess moisture. It can lead to the destruction of the foundation of all buildings. For this reason, for each priority task will be the creation of effective drainage. On how to create a drainage system with the use of pipes, and now we are speech.

Prerequisites for drainage work

There are several factors that directly indicate the need for drainage work. The main ones are:

  • the occurrence of groundwater in the cellars;
  • slowly drying puddles after a shower;
  • availability on a plot of a huge amount of moisture-loving plants.

1

The purpose of drainage is:

  • preventing the soil of soil and flushing the gravel (with landscape design);
  • preventing the destruction of the foundation of buildings, garden tracks and coatings from asphalt;
  • moisture elimination and reduction of probability of occurrence of a mold;
  • exclusion of pressure on the foundation and disorders of the integrity of walls of buildings and cracking the screed.

Watercolor systems

Excess moisture is discharged from the site by creating watercourse located in the soil and consisting of channels and pipes. Drainage consists of two main parts:

  • enclosing drain;
  • storm water drainage.

Drainage itself can be carried out with a surface or deep way. In the first case, the problem of rain and melt water is fully solved. The deep drainage device puts the goal that is to reduce the level of groundwater.

By the method of execution of the drainage system are divided into:

  • open;
  • falling;
  • closed.

An open drainage system is a channel system. They dig around the perimeter of a certain area. This kind of drainage involves creating a wastewater where water will be gathered. The main purpose of the open drainage is a removal of water in areas that are located on a small elevation.

Fucking drainage is characteristic of a small area. It is created as follows. Trench breaks around the site. It has a slope to the drainage well. The bottom of the trench is consistently covered:

  • boot or broken brick;
  • gravel;
  • dern.

The disadvantages of open and flowing drainage systems are fast clogging and the subsequent destruction of the design.

The most optimal option is the closed drainage of the site. This method provides for the use of pipes that are stacked in advance trench with attachment to the sewer collector.

2

When creating a closed drainage, a slope of trenches to the well is also necessary. This process consists of:

  • creating cushion cushion and sand;
  • pipe gaskets;
  • backfilling them with sand and rubble;
  • laying soil and turf.

Varieties of drainage pipes

At the initial stage, it is necessary to determine the type of pipe, which is supposed to be used. For drainage suitable:

  • ceramic;
  • asbestos-cement;
  • plastic pipes.

Nowadays, plastic products use the greatest demand. This is explained by many factors. In particular, the "minuses" of asbestos-cement and ceramic pipes are:

  • high weight, which leads to an increase in transportation costs;
  • the impossibility of installing without attracting special equipment;
  • little life (20-30 years) compared to plastic products (up to 60 years).

Plastic drainage pipes are easy to install. If necessary, they are easily cut with conventional hacksaw. Thanks to a variety of fittings, plastic pipes are securely connected to each other.

Usually, the drainage is used perforated corrugated products with the SN8 stiffness class. The depth of their occurrence can be up to 10 m. Due to the presence of ribs, corrugated drainage pipes are characterized by a uniform load distribution.

3

In addition, they differ:

  • compact sizes;
  • excellent flexibility;
  • low cost;
  • excellent wear resistance;
  • resistant to the effects of aggressive medium and corrosion;
  • simplicity of installation.

Mounting work

Before laying pipes, explore the layout of the site. Special attention should be paid to:

  • indicators of the level of groundwater depending on the pore threshold;
  • structure and characteristics of the soil;
  • the amount of precipitation and the presence of flood waters.

In many ways, the above factors play a major role in determining the depth of trenches and the diameter of the drainage pipe. After purchasing pipes and fittings, you can proceed directly to the creation of a drainage system.

Work is carried out in the following sequence:

  • marking of the site;
  • digging trench;
  • running her bottom;
  • floating rubble or sand (30-40 cm);
  • geotextile flooring;
  • creation of a gravel layer (up to 20 cm);
  • installation of drainage pipes;
  • flipping them with gravel and covering geotextiles;
  • the final coating of pipes with sand and turpentine.

4

Pipe laying recommend to produce below the soil freezing level. The depth of the trench is in the range of 1.2-1.5 m, the width must exceed the diameter of the pipes by 35-45 cm. Trench digging is carried out under a slope (about 3º or 2-3 cm per 1 m). Water samoter should be directed to the drainage well.

Geotextile is laid on a sandy or rubble pillow. Moreover, its filter side is located at the top. The edges of the material should go out. Use geotextile:

  • prevents the drainage system to be prevented;
  • does not allow the washing of nutrients from the soil;
  • extends the operational period of the system for 7-8 years.

Installation of the drainage pipe is carried out on the gravel layer. To cut off the pipes, the required length is used by pipe cutter or hacksaw. Their connection occurs with the help of fittings. The docking process itself provides:

  • heating the ends of the pipes soldering iron;
  • their insert and fixation in the fitting;
  • stripping joints from plastic chips.

In the process of carrying out installation work in places of compounds and turns of pipes, we necessarily create viewing wells. These designs are equipped with covers so that they do not get trash. The main purpose of the observation wells is the periodic cleaning of the drainage system.

After completing the installation of pipes, it is necessary to check the correctness of the slope again. For this, the cord is used, which is stretched along the laid pipeline.

After a neat backfill of the pipes of gravel and wrapping them with geotextiles, the trench should be covered with sand and hide the fertile soil.

5

The drainage can be carried out in:

  • storm sewer;
  • natural reservoir;
  • or a catchment well.

The last building is equipped with a pump that performs periodic pumping of accumulated water.

There are several common errors that should be avoided during the installation of drainage pipes. In particular, they include:

  • the inefficient depth of the trench, leading to negative changes in the water balance;
  • use of pipes that are not suitable for technical parameters;
  • inaccurate angle of lined drainage pipes, often caused the rooting of the site.

Failure to comply with pipe mounting technologies can lead to their rapid failure. And this is fraught with excessive financial expenses and loss of precious time.
