One of the most sought-after finishing materials is plasterboard. Nowadays, with its help, the ceiling and walls are made, narrow partitions, niches and arched windows are created. The installation of plasterboard sheets is especially relevant for the premises, walls and ceiling of which are not distinguished by an ideally smooth surface.

The technology of facing the room by this material will not cause special difficulties. The main element of any plasterboard design is a framework. How to make a crate for plasterboard and will be discussed in this article.
Features of the choice of design
The frame method has a mass gain. The main one:
- the maximum operational term of the design being created (comparable with the service life of drywall);
- easy and speed of installation work.
The main dilemma that may occur in the process of working with plasterboard is the choice of material for the frame. There are two main types of crates for plasterboard:
- wooden;
- metal.
The wooden lamp is made of coniferous wood, metal - from steel galvanized profiles.
The scope of applying a frame of wood is limited. It can be created in warm and dry rooms, where there are no significant temperature differences. If the room is characterized by high humidity, it will reduce the operational period of the wooden frame.
For this reason, a metal crate of a metal crate is more suitable for drywall. But not only this attractive design made of steel. In addition to reliability, with metal profiles is much easier to work. After all, they possess accurate standard dimensions and they do not need to additionally process with antiseptic means.
Creating a frame of metal profiles
Work on the device of the steel crate consists of the following consecutive actions:
- preparatory stage;
- mealing the surface of the ceiling / walls;
- marking work;
- fitting profiles on room dimensions;
- installation of guide profiles;
- fastening of suspensions;
- fixation of rack profiles.
At the first stage, it is carried out:
- acquisition of materials;
- rent tools (if not);
- preparation of the room.
Preparation of the discharge room is to prevent damage to the floor and wall coatings, furniture and other items in the process of performing installation work. The room is released from furniture to the maximum. The walls are wrapped with a polyethylene film or a dense cloth. If the floors are not planned to be changed, they are also covered with a film.
Marking of the surface of the walls provides the following actions:
- measured from a wall of 5-15 cm (depending on the irregularities of the walls);
- a straight line is carried out on the ceiling, acting as a label for the guide profile;
- with a laser level (or plumb), the label is transferred to the floor;
- the lower label must match the top and lay parallel to it.
After conducting marking works, you can proceed to the device of the walls of the walls under plasterboard. Guide profiles are screwed to floor covering and ceiling. The maximum step between self-pressing is 60 cm. The attachment of profiles is carried out throughout the perimeter of the wall generated.
Next, the installation of rack profiles, which act as the basis for fastening plasterboard sheets. With the help of direct suspensions, they are connected to the lower and upper guide profile. The distance between the suspensions is 0.9-1 m.
Immediately, it is necessary to mention that the exact location of the rack profiles is determined on the basis of the dimensions of the plasterboard sheet. Its standard size is 2.5 m * 1.25 m. Therefore, the most optimal option will be the mounting sheet of plasterboard on three profiles. The distance between them is 62.5 cm.
Creating a ceiling cable under plasterboard provides for the following actions:
- fastening the guide profiles at a distance of 15 cm from the ceiling and 60 cm from each other;
- installation of suspensions in places where rack profiles will be located;
- inserting rack profiles in guides;
- fastening their extreme part to suspensions;
- creation of transverse profiles to enhance the design;
- laying communications in interporal space.
If the plasterboard is facing the ceiling and walls, the profile screwing starts on the floor covering. Installing profiles first on the ceiling, and then on the floor can lead to the curvature of the structure. And this is fraught with mounting work again.
Sometimes due to the curvature of the surface, you can encounter a problem when a small part of the ceiling or wall is not closed with the last plasterboard sheet. In this case, you should resort to the following.
When the unclosed portion exceeds 15 cm long, additional pieces of profiles are mounted. They are securely fixed using suspensions, after which you can cut off and secure a piece of drywall. With a unclosed section, up to 15 cm is cut and a narrow piece of metal products is installed.
There are still a number of factors that need to be taken into account when creating a carcass for drywall. In particular, when living in a terrain with a raw and wet climate, mold appears on the walls. The decoration of the walls of plasterboard will not be able to get rid of this problem. In any case, before creating a crate, the old surface will have to be treated with special means.
In the presence of walls made of fiberboard or chipboard, an additional framework device with a subsequent fastening of plasterboard sheets will lead to a weighing structure. With over time, it will be the reason for the implementation of a new repair with the complete dismantling of the entire design.
Special attention should be paid to the acquisition of self-mains for fastening profiles. They should not concern electrical wiring and other elements of communication systems in the inner space of the structure.
Nuances Framework Framework
The manufacture of a wooden crate under plasterboard is carried out of the wood of coniferous trees with a thickness of 4-5 cm. Wood moisture should be in the range of 20%. Before creating a frame, all bars are processed by an antiseptic oil based on an oil base.
The device of a wooden crate provides:
- implementation of accurate measurements;
- preparation of bars required length;
- fixation on the floor of the rail guide;
- installation of other bars in the vertical plane;
- the step of their installation is 50 cm;
- strengthening the entire design of transverse bars;
- reliable connection of rails by self-drawing in places of their contact;
- check the crate on the correct location.
The construction of the frame is made so that two vertical bars pressed against the extreme part of the drywall. Moreover, the sheet must most closely connect with the rail. If there is a large plasterboard panel, in the center of the plane it is necessary to place another bar.
The design made of drywall does not imply fastening various heavy items on it. In the event that it is necessary to fix something on such a wall (mirror, picture, etc.), additional bars are necessarily mounted in the transverse direction.
In order to make a high-quality wooden crate for plasterboard, three main conditions should be observed:
- there must be a perfectly smooth surface for cladding;
- the front side of the rails is located in a single plane;
- a reliable attachment of bars is carried out.
The process of creating the crate implies a breakdown of the wall into several sections. One plot corresponds to the dimensions of the plasterboard sheet. First, vertical bars are installed along the edges of the wall. If there are small irregularities, the place of installation of the rivers is aligned with the help of a chisel.
When the rail fits tightly to the wall, then its ends should be in the same way to touch the wall. Sometimes you can encounter such a problem as a concave of a bar in the central part. You can prevent this phenomenon by using the washers made from cardboard or plywood.
