Modern innovative developments in the construction industry pursues three basic objectives related to finishing materials: make them reliable, easy to operate and affordable. All three characteristics are inherent in plastic panels. They can be facing both walls and ceilings.

Variety and characteristics of the material
Nowadays, products from polyvinyl chloride are the most common. In essence, this material is transparent and colorless. But thanks to the coloring additives, it is attached to completely different color shades.
Depending on the method of coloring or a certain PVC pattern, the ceiling panel is divided into the following types:
- painted;
- laminated;
- with thermal printing;
- with flexography.
In the process of making painted panels, dye is used. It gives everything material a homogeneous color shade, which does not change over time.
A distinctive feature of laminated panels is the presence of a decorative film that covers their front side. In addition to a decorative target, the film performs a protective function.
Pretty original options for plastic panels - materials with thermal printing and flexography. The drawing on the first panels is carried out under the action of high temperatures. Painting panels using flexography involves rolling for a special form on the billets themselves.
It is worth noting that the finishing of the PVC ceilings is the easiest, fast and cheap way to give any room of a neat and attractive appearance. In addition to these qualities, the facing material is characterized by:
- slight weight;
- ecology;
- moisture resistance (can be separated by PVC panels ceiling in the bathroom);
- refractory;
- long operational period;
- simplicity of installation and care;
- antistaticism;
- lack of microbes on the surface of the panels;
- Affordable price.
The advantages of using polyvinyl chloride panels as a facing material for the ceiling include:
- creating a smooth surface;
- elimination of all irregularities and defects;
- the ability to hide electrical wiring and other communications;
- device of excellent sound insulation;
- easy liquidation of moisture by removing and drying the panel (with drywall such a procedure cannot be carried out).
Preparatory work
Before making a ceiling of PVC panels, it is necessary to prepare the basis for it. Despite the fact that after facing works, the old ceiling will not be visible, it is cleared of an old coating that can collapse (sprinkle) to a new ceiling. It should be removed damaged plaster, whitewash and putty between the plates.
After carrying out the surface, the surfaces proceed to marking work. The height of all angles of the room is measured. In the smallest corner, it should be dropped by 5-7 cm and make a label. It takes a horizontal line throughout the perimeter of the room.
The ceiling height also affect:
- the degree of irregularity of the old ceiling;
- types of lighting devices;
- the presence of hidden communication elements (wiring, pipes, etc.).
In the presence of an electrical cable, a gap is made in the amount of 15-20 mm between the ceiling and the extreme part of the frame. The transfer of the selected label to the remaining four walls is carried out using a laser (water) level.
To make a perfectly smooth line, a special twine with colored chalk is used. The extreme part of the twine is applied to the wall, slightly allocated and lowers. As a result, horizontal lines drawn in chalk are obtained on the walls.
Opened holes are drilled by the perimeter. They are needed for fastening starting profiles or bars. The L-shaped starting strip is carried out. Frame elements are placed in a perpendicular position to plastic panels at a distance of 40-55 cm from each other.
To determine the exact number of the necessary panels, the total length of the walls is divided into a width of one sheet of material. It is better to stock up with several superfluous panels. To calculate the number of plinth and corners, all windows, doors, angles and joints are measured.
Another important moment. Be sure to put plastic panels in the room where finishing works will be carried out. For acclimatization, it will be enough for only one day. And unpacking the material is not needed.
And if it must be done, the unpacking of the panels is carried out very carefully. The decorative layer is impossible to damage.
Carcass device
There are three options for PVC panels:
- wooden bars;
- plastic profiles;
- metal elements.
In the manufacture of a wooden frame, bars and rails are used. The main purpose of BRUSEV is the alignment of the crate. Reiki act as guides to fix panels.
Laying Bruusyev is carried out between the rails and the old ceiling. And the rails should form a monoloral plane. To create an ideal level, you can use wooden linings. The fastening step is 50-60 cm.
The device of the plastic crate is made using a P-shaped profile. The profile fastening occurs in such a way that the lower bound of the material is on the winding line. Docking work in the corners of the ceiling are carried out using hacksaw and stusl.
The fixation of the plastic profile is carried out in a step of 25-30 cm. To facilitate installation work on creating a frame, a fishing line is stretched across the entire ceiling surface. The top edge of the profile must coincide with this fishing line.
The most practical option for the framework of the framework is the use of metal profiles. In this case, it is possible to use the internal space for:
- laying thermal insulation or sound insulation materials;
- pasters cable and installation of lamps.
The mounting of metal profiles occurs at a distance of 60-75 cm from each other. "Pashki" (bent profiles) are attached to the ceiling with the help of anchors, to the guide profiles - screws. As for the jumpers, they are not attached along the bearing elements of the crate. Their installation is advisable in places where the chandelier, video camera or other heavy items will be located.
After checking the surface of the crate on the evenness and elimination of all inaccuracies (if necessary), you can lay the electrical wiring. To prevent its fires, it is placed in a corrugated tube.
Installation of panels
After creating the perfectly smooth crates, it is proceeded to the final stage of work - the installation of PVC panels on the ceiling. The first strip of material is placed in the P-shaped profile. Its fastening to the support profile is made using screws.
If necessary, the material is cut into the canvas of a certain length using a conventional knife or hacksaw. Moreover, the length of the circumcision material should be less than the distance between the walls by 3-5 mm on each side.
The next strip is applied to the first panel at an angle. They must be shown along the entire length. The second side of the strip is tightly pressed against the crate and fixed with screws. For a secure clutch of adjacent bands, it is better to use the cutting panel. It is inserted into the groove of the stacked strip and carefully clogged with a hammer.
When working with PVC panels, the panel can not be labeled. This is quite fragile material. Even with your hand, you can make a small dent, which is not subject to repair.
The main complexity when installing PVC panels is the fixation of the last strip. To do this, it turns over the lock in the other side and cuts into the groove side. The panel is joined with the previous strip and fastened with screws.
When arranging the ceiling with fixtures or air ducts, the holes for them cut better in advance. In the presence of decorative panels, it is necessary to strengthen the design with additional guides.
According to the stylish appearance, the ceiling of PVC panels in the photo and in reality will be absolutely similar only in combination with the original plinth, which is attached around the profile perimeter. To fix the plinth, you can use liquid nails.
Application of glue is made on one side of the plinth of choice. That is, you can poison it with both the ceiling and the wall. The gaps in the corners are sealed with a selence of a similar color.
