Owners of country land plots and rural residents often want to expand their subsidiary farm and make some living nature. Rabbit breeding is a very popular occupation in our country and the first thing you need if you decide to it - a rabbit. It must comply with certain requirements and therefore information on how to build a rabbit with your own hands will be useful.

What materials should be a house for rabbits

Rabbits, as you know, rodents and therefore one wooden boards and bars can not do. How to make a rabbit durable?
For this you will need:

• metal corners (30 × 30, 30 × 40 mm);
• metal mesh with shallow cell;
• sheets of galvanized metal.

These materials are necessary for the rigidity of the design and safety of animals: the rabbit will not be able to spin metal. But in order for the rabbit's house to overheat from the sun's rays, it must be tinted with a tree: it is a good heat insulator. It can also be provided for additional thermal insulation with plates of extruded polyurethane foam or foam.

Therefore, you should prepare:

• wooden bars of 50 × 50 mm and 100 × 100 mm (for legs, but can be replaced with asbestos-cement pipes);
• wooden boards 20 - 30 mm or moisture-resistant plywood;
• ruberoid and slate sheets (for roof);
• nails, brackets, screws and other fasteners;
• loops and cutlets for the door.

To work with these materials, it will be enough to have a standard set of tools (including Bulgarian, metal scissors and a manual riveter). Welding machine would be useful, but you can do without it.

How to perform design calculation

The diagram of the rabbit is not complicated. A frame of 700 × 500 × 500 mm in size will be enough to accommodate one family. From this, start designing the rabbit: the drawings of additional sections (with an increase in the number of animals) will be similar. On a sheet of paper, we apply schematic images of the main parts and indicate their dimensions.

Must be provided:

• 4 segments from a corner for vertical racks;
• 8 horizontal parts for the frame (from the corner);
• legs (supports) of the optimal height for the care of the rabbit;
• pattern for side walls, bottom and roof;
• details of wooden sheat and legs.

We carry out the build of the carcass

The task is to the hard connection of parts from the corners, as a result of which the parallelepiped should be formed. For this, pre-manufactured parts are connected using welding or bolted fasteners. At the edges of the corners, the holes are drilled by the required diameter (for bolts). For stiffeners, enclosure should be plated under the nut. There should be no sharp, protruding angles in the inner part of the frame: they will interfere with further work.

After that, do the following:

1. For each side of the frame, we put the corresponding item, carved from a galvanized sheet, and drill a plurality of holes in the corners of the frame. The diameter of the holes is selected in accordance with the traction rivet.
2. Insert traction rivets first in the middle of the frames of the frame and with the help of a manual riveter tighten them.
3. We do the same in both sides of the central rivet on each side of the frame.

The warmed house for rabbits can be installed in the open air. For rabbits placed in the sheds, the insulation and roof can not be used.
