Gymelomes are original and practical rolled material. With this material, wall finishing with the subsequent coloring of the surface is carried out. About the nuances of painting glass windows and will be discussed in our article.

Properties of material

Glassworks are made under painting from environmentally friendly components: clay, quartz sand, limestone and soda. This suggests that they will suit anyone.

Despite the fact that the price of glass windows under painting is slightly higher than the cost of other wallpapers, they have a number of positive properties:

  • the ability to withstand increased mechanical loads (they are not afraid of calays of domestic animals);
  • absolute fireproof;
  • long operational period (sometimes it reaches 30 years);
  • increased antistry;
  • ease of care (clean and cleaned as chemicals, so mechanically);
  • through the fiberglass freely moves moisture and air, which does not lead to the formation of fungus and mold.

Criteria for choosing paint

The technology of staining of global glass winds is practically no different from painting another material. The only nuance is to paint glass painting. For these purposes only special paint will suit.

According to most professionals, the best solution for glass painting is the use of water-dispersion compositions that differ:

  • lack of sharp odor;
  • rapid absorption to the surface;
  • minimum drying time.

2

Such paints consist of aqueous dispersions of a specific synthetic polymer. The formation of a protective film of the composition occurs when the particles are bonded as a result of water evaporation. For this reason, paints are diluted with a non-solvent, but water.

Painting of glass windows presented in the photo can be carried out by various water-dispersive compositions. Conditionally, they can be divided into 3 categories:

  1. Butadiene-styrene.
  2. Polyvinila acetate.
  3. Acrylic.

Butadiene-styrene dispersions have increased moisture resistance. But have a significant drawback - under the influence of sunlight, the surface is often covered with yellow. For this reason, butadiene-styrene paints are used in rooms where sunlight does not enter.

The cheapest water dispersion composition is polyvinila acetate paint. In many ways, this is due to the fact that it can be used only in dry rooms. Polyvinyl acetate dispersions are characterized by low water resistance.

The most versatile are acrylic compositions. They have sufficient moisture resistance and resistant to ultraviolet. It is these water-dispersion paints are used for staining of glasses. The surface painted by them can be washed. Paint dries shorts.

Methods of painting

Staining of glass windows are made 1-2 days after sticking them. First, the material is covered with primer. To do this, you can use the remaining wallpaper glue, which is diluted with water.

Due to the priming of the surface:

  • improves the adhesion of water-dispersion composition;
  • the paint consumption will decrease.

To apply paint, it is better to use a roller or spacing. Painting of glasses is made in two layers with a break. To dry out the first layer takes 12-14 hours. There are several options for painting glass windows:

  • using the curb;
  • using stencils;
  • using blue;
  • a wiping stain.

Border

This type of painting will contribute to giving the interior of the living colors. Often used in the living room and nursery. Staining fiberglass curb performed using one of two methods:

  • it applies the same texture as the material from the top border and the bottom;
  • are two different surface textures with respect to the curb.

Creating a border begins almost immediately after sticking the finishing material. On the wall is cut and the wallpaper band is removed. Its sizes must coincide with the width of the border. Alternately, the upper and lower parts of the wall with glass windows are stained. With an interval of 12-14 hours, two layers of paint are applied. After drying in the free space, a decorative curb border is pasted.

Stencil

Painting of glasses with stencils provides for creating a specific pattern. Any ornament is selected. The stencil displaying its exact contours is placed on the surface of already painted wallpaper. Strictly on the markup occurs sticking tape.

Increased paint, which will act as a background. The work is carried out in such a way that the paint does not register under the tape. After drying the background coloring, glassy is painted in conceived color with a pre-selected pattern.

Removal Scotch is made only after full paint drying. Optionally, decoration of the applied pattern is carried out. For this, they usually use another stencil.

Azure

When using the lazuries, a variety of color combinations are obtained. Its applying occurs after drying the main layer of paint. The entire surface of the painted wall is processed. And additionally, short and transverse strokes are made to the tassel.

After 10-15 minutes, the lazuries flakes with a rubber spatula are evenly distributed over the glass windows. When applying two layers of lazuries, the wall surface acquires more intense and saturated shades.

Shell painting

This technology leads to the preparation of the original tissue texture. Especially spectacularly, ordinary glass windows will look. The main layer of paints is bright saturated shades.

After drying, the paint is applied to the wall of the lustering coating. You can use a decorative translucent water-based lacquer. Not allowing lacquer drying, its top layer is neatly removed by a rubber spatula. Varnish must be only in the textured deepening of the finishing material.
